H.O.P.E.S. uses five evidence-based programs that have been proven to help children and families. These programs are great for anyone who is expecting a child or raising a child who has not started kindergarten yet.

Parents as Teachers or PAT, is for any family expecting a child or with children up to kindergarten age (age 5). PAT teaches parents about child development and gives parenting support. PAT helps to ensure that young children are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The program includes one-on-one home visits, monthly group meetings, developmental testing, and a resource network for families.

The AVANCE approach imparts parenting knowledge that directly impacts children’s development while enabling parents to achieve their own educational and professional goals. AVANCE’s renowned Parent-Child Education Program instills a philosophy of nurturing care, wellness, and language development in caregivers as they embrace their role as their child’s first teacher and their home as first classroom.

The Period of Purple crying is a new way to help parents understand this time in their baby’s life, which is a normal part of every infant’s development. The Purple program is designed to help parents of new babies understand a developmental stage that is not widely known. It provides education on the normal crying curve and the dangers of shaking a baby.

Nurse-Family Partnership or NFP, is a program that helps first-time mothers succeed. From helping you have a healthy pregnancy, to teaching you about child development, to encouraging you to complete your goals, your nurse home visitor will always be there for you so that you can be there for your baby.

It’s all about making Triple P work for you. Parent training classes focus on strengthening parenting competencies and fostering parent’s involvement with their children.
